T-shirt #2 KYUSS!

T-shirt #2
KYUSS

  • Q. Nice Tshirt -who's the band?
M: Kyuss Lives. Now, I’ve heard there playing under the name Vista Chino. Vista Chino is a pretty cool name but that's off point. Kyuss Lives was once KYUSS but now Vista Chino. Whatever their name, it’s just good rock music that hits you in a nice way. Really groovy. Hahahahah...

    Q. Any good live?

Great. Vocals are real bold and Brant Bjork on drums
is a killer. He’s a legend. Brant Bjork & The Bros, check them out. Kyuss in any form are just fucking loud. Kyuss/Kyuss Lives/Vista Chino, any of them lot.

    Q. What's a good track to listen to if you haven't

     listened to them before?

Strange, I guess just any Kyuss song which is cool.
That’s strange as it’s not Kyuss and now not even
Kyuss Lives anyone. Fuck, I’m bored of typing
Kyuss now. Do like the new name. Hahahahah...
“Freedom Run”. Any of the them. Maybe this -

    • Q. How metal are they out of 10?
7! I’d not really put them in the Metal thing but there are
plenty of pinch harmonics on the album “Wretch” and
there general attitude is just straight up and down which is
pretty Metal. No fuss, just GO. Go rock. Something from
       “Wretch” - … Also -
“Big Bikes”. It’s all GO if you play it loud. Can be angry,
can also be pretty sexy (Groovy).

           Max's  Metal score - 7/10

    Max' Band T-shirt - Blasted

Hello and welcome to Max's T-shirt!

Max has a bootiful wardrobe containing many t-shirts of bands that he loves to like.

Each week I will be photographising Max and his t-shirt choice, then have a conversation about the band with added links to songs and band website etc. Yada yada ya.

So first up we have our first of many t-shirts  - BLASTED

    Q.so who is blasted?

    M. Blasted are a Oxford/London based punk band. Ex-member of Winnebago deal on guitar and two of his London mates.

Q.Where did you see them play?

    M. I saw them first at a place called the wheel barrow in London. The last show I saw was at the Cellar in Oxford. The Oxford show was the better of the two cos' there was lots of Winnebego deal fans in the audience.

    Q. Do you have a favourite track?

    M. Yes, it's called 'Time to Die'. I wanted to get a tattoo of TTD as a kind of Homage to the song. The track is fast, riffs are cool, drumming is awesome and the vocals are really extreme.
